Course Description
This seminar will provide you with a True Holistic approach healing. Reiki is a universal frequency & a vibrational way to assist the body in healing. It can be integrated with any other healing modality and is non-invasive. You will experience meditation and breath work. There will be attunements and we will incorporate quantum thought and how to work with right & left hemispheres. You will learn how to do an assessment with energy and how to integrate it with other modality's. There will be hands - on bodywork. We will learn how our bodys have innate wisdom and how Reiki brings awareness to the self and develops our inner most being... Unconditional Love

Not only am I a student of Dorothy, I'm also a patient of hers.Just recently I saw Dorothy as a patient, I called her up one day in tears from pain and she told me to come in right away. She took one look at me and could see the pain in my eyes. I went back and saw her about 5 more times, after that and when that last visit was over I was up & walking without any pain, it was the biggest relief I could ever imagine. Shortly after my accident my 10 month old had an accident. My first instinct was to call Dorothy. The day after my daughter's finger was accidently amputated off I brought her in to see her, a few sessions later, I have no worry in the world, Dorothy told me everything would be fine and I believed her. I have aways thought of myself as an open-minded person, I didn't realize I was somewhat closed- minded when it came to massage & bodywork. I thought energy work was something for people who did not want to put any effort into a massage. It wasn't long after having Dorothy as my teacher that my mind opened up even more and I started noticing really amazing changes in people's bodies from just a small amount of energy work. It drove me a little crazy at first not being able to massage someone... I was instructed only to feel the heat of my clients body and notice how my intention and working with energy would effect the state of my client.
Each night, I learned something new, either from experimenting myself or by watching Dorothy work on one of my classmates. I was now introduced to the unbelievable world of massage & bodywork. Everything made sense to me now. I know that my hands are not magical, but the universe is! To be honest, the most rewarding part of being a massage therapist is not the income, but the feeling I get when I see someone in so much pain lay down on my table and then, after the bodywork session, they seem to have been reborn. I am never going to stop learning. Everyday I learn something new and the human body continues to amaze me. I first began going to Dorothy in July, 2008. For the previous seven months, I had back trouble and a pinched nerve in my upper right leg.Four doctors from a medical institute could not do anything for me, except waste my time. Having exhausted all resources, I decided to try Dorothy's services because I had nothing to lose. I originally was a little skeptical, but I tried treatment with an open mind. After the fourth visit, the pinched nerve finally began to go away, as did the back pain. After about six weeks, there was no sign of the pinched nerve and the back pain was significantly reduced. Now, the back pain is just about gone. I also have a fractured hip, which has been causing pain constantly. Since Dorothy has been treating me, much of the pain is gone. Once again, the doctors any medication did nothing. Today, after seven months, I am able to sleep much better, lifting me feet while walking, and walking quicker. I am able to breathe better, and I have noticed a significant change in my diabetes. I am also in a much better frame of mind and take a more positive outlook on everything. Dorothy is a very caring and sincere person and she goes out of her way to accommodate and help her patients.She is very understanding and treats everyone as if they were her best friend. She is very highly trained and very knowledgeable, without a doubt a top expert in her field. -Al-
I have had severe arthritis and degenerative disk disease for the last 17 years. Each year the pain became worse until I was finally confined to a wheel chair. I had scoliosis, spinal stenosis, and herniated disks from my neck to my tailbone. At 60 years old I was told by neurosurgeons (who love to operate), that the only thing they could do was make me a new back and of course, that wasn't possible. It was not just any back that was affected, but every joint in my body was slowly being eaten away. Orthopedist and rheumatologists both said there was nothing to do but manage the pain. I was given no hope of any recovery. My quality of life was very poor. I kept my job of being a teacher by using a scooter in school, but when I went home, I went to bed and cried. My body was filled with pain-killers and I was still in agonizing pain. I wanted to die really. I have nothing in my life to look forward to. Through a parent of one of my students I heard about Dorothy Green. I had absolutely nothing to lose, I figured. So why not give this a try. After six weeks of seeing Dorothy three times a week, I can now walk using a walker. The pain in my twisted, compressed lumbar spine is essentially gone. My frozen shoulder has melted. For the first time in many years, I have hope again. People, who have known me, look at me and cry. My whole life has changed. I am at peace. My anxiety has decreased so much. My colleagues tell me that I look happy and am not crying out in pain every time I have to move. My body is rearranging itself. I've let go of so many hurtful patterns that I've kept inside. As for my opinion of Dorothy, I can't wait until my next appointment each time. Her work is amazing, and her spirit is even more amazing. I really can't begin to explain it, but I am living proof that the body has innate ability to heal itself with the careful guidence of a holistic bodyworker. Through meditation and integrated, gentle energy work my body and my life is changing. To be in Dorothy's presence is to truly understand the precepts of Reiki. Just for today, I will not worry. I will not anger. I will love. I am at peace. Six weeks ago, she was a stranger. But now she is a friend, who has helped me to see the world and my life in a totaly different way.
